Considering a Whippet?

Babs

When you contact a breeder about a puppy, don't phone or send an email just asking, "How much are your puppies?" Take the time to tell her a little about yourself, your home, your schedule, and why you want a whippet. Remember, you're not buying a toaster, but a pet that someone has raised with a lot of love. You may be asked more questions about yourself than you can think of to ask about the puppies!

The Timbreblue/Marnay Family Reunion PDF Print E-mail

Update! The 2009 Timbreblue/Marnay Whippet Reunion is scheduled for October 17, 2009, in Leesburg, Virginia. Yes, the weather will be horrendous -- rainy and cold -- and yes, we are going anyway! We plan to bundle up ourselves and our dogs, make hot chocolate and hot cider and coffee (and maybe a hot toddy or two), snuggle up in blankets under the tent, and have a ball! The reunion is open to all Timbreblue and Marnay puppy/dog owners and invited guests. See you there!

=======================================

If you own a puppy or rescue from Timbreblue or Marnay Whippets, we hope to see you every year at our annual family reunion!  Or if you're looking for a whippet or you'd like to get to know some before making your final decision about which breed is right for you, contact us about stopping by.

This year the reunion will be October 17 in Leesburg, Virginia, and we're expecting the usual fun and chaos you get with 50 or so whippets and their owners, who are, incidentally, the most interesting, smartest, and nicest people in the world. (Hey, we chose them for our puppies and rescues, after all!)

Everyone brings a covered dish and the agenda is nonexistent.  Lunch is one-ish and the rest of the time we just spend hanging out with the dogs and getting to know each other.  Well, there might be a door prize (gate prize?) or two, and Timbreblue's trainer extrordinaire, Bev Crawley, will be on hand to help with any behavioral problems you mightr have with your dogs. It starts around ten and goes till the dogs wear out.
