Considering a Whippet?

Babs

When you contact a breeder about a puppy, don't phone or send an email just asking, "How much are your puppies?" Take the time to tell her a little about yourself, your home, your schedule, and why you want a whippet. Remember, you're not buying a toaster, but a pet that someone has raised with a lot of love. You may be asked more questions about yourself than you can think of to ask about the puppies!

Candy Dish Litter PDF Print E-mail

We couldn't resist repeating the Candy and Justin breeding that had produced such lovely puppies for us in 2007.  Although we show very little, Chippy was extremely successful at her very first shows -- a best of breed and a group placement, as well as a best opposite sex and best bred by exhibitor and third in the bred-by-exhibitor group.  And the other puppies had enriched the lives of seven other families. So once Candy decided she would cooperate, a year and half after the first litter, we bred these two again, for another perfect litter of eight.  This time it was more evenly divided -- four boys and four girls, the litter we call the Candy Dish: Truffles, Kiss, Kitkat, Godiva, Skittles, Wonka, Twix, and Razzle. These pups will be leaving for their new homes in December.
