A whippet needs to be a part of the family. This is not a dog you can shut away in another room or in a crate when company comes, and it's not a dog you should  leave in the yard alone. Please be sure before you get a whippet that you're really ready for another family member...because that's what you're getting with a whippet!

By far, the hardest part of loving dogs is losing them. They simply don't live long enough. We have loved some of the best dogs in the world and this section of our website is devoted to them. Please visit them with us. They were not all show dogs -- most, actually, were not. But they helped form our life with dogs and each one taught us something we didn't know. We still love and cherish every one of them and miss them evey day.
