Ivy & Chase Litter #1
Our first whippet litter was born June 24, 2000 to Ivy (Ch. Appraxin Sensation at Timbreblue) by Chase (Appraxin Kamikaze), who later went on to gain a title in freestyle dancing! Banger was the only boy, and he has five sisters: Ember, Ellie May, Snitch, Sasha, and Price. We called them the Naughty Girls Plus One.
Ivy & Chase Litter #2
We had kept Snitch (Timbreblue Blames Her Brother) from our first litter, but due to a serious injury when she was six months old, we decided not to breed her after all. But we were so pleased with that litter that we decided to repeat the breeding and hope for another girl as good as Snitch. On March 24, 2002, Fannie (Timbreblue Shows Her Panties) arrived. She was was a delightful addition to our little family and later gave us two beautiful litters. Again Ivy had one boy and the rest girls -- a litter of five this time. Fannie, Echo, Summer, Aspen, and brother Simon.
Ivy & Joker
For Ivy's third and final litter, born July 24, 2002, we decided to breed her to a dog imported from England, Nevedith Justa Joker. We wanted an outcross, a dog unrelated to Ivy (as far as possible -- if you go back far enough, all whippets are pretty much related. Ivy and Joker gave us five pups: two girls and three boys. Diamond, Jessie, Henry, Chaser, and Blue. Diamond, UKC Ch Timbreblue Plays the Joker, stayed with us to carry on the line.
Fannie & Ricky - The Movie Stars Litter
When Fannie was almost three, we bred her to Barbara Henderon's Ch Peperone Power Ranger (Ricky). On June 13, 2004, she gave birth to a litter of seven. We named them after Old Movie Stars and this litter produced our lovely Candy (Audrey). The two boys are Beau (Bogart) and Murray () and our other "actresses" are Whisper (Marilyn), Bristol (Audrey), Polly (Garbo), and Dana (Lauren).
Diamond & Calvin I - The Midsomer Murders Litter
One of our favorite mystery programs is the British "Midsomer Murders," so we chose names from the cast of characters for this litter, born Feburary 24, 2005. Our boys were Barnaby and Troy (now Nashville) and the seven girls were Simone, Lauren (now Rosie), Cully (Ashley), May (Rajah), Rosemary (Carly), Dierdre (Ginger), and Jasmine.
Diamond & Calvin II - The Reindeer Litter
The Reindeer Litter was born December 20, 2005, and named for Santa's reindeer, Dancer and Vixen kept their litter names. The others are now Boo, Zowie, Mulligan, Jonah, and Devo. Sadly, we lost Blitzen at three weeks to a neurological defect that manifested itself only when his eyes opened.
Fannie & Arthur - The Phonetics Litter
The Phonetic Alphabet litter was born to Fannie (now Annie) (Timbreblue Shows Her Panties) and Arthur (Ch Sowagla Myth Maker) on March 7, 2006. Bravo, India, Juliet, and Tango kept their litter names, and the others are now Atari and Fenway. The lovely Juliet stayed with us and became UKC Ch Timbreblue Loves a Romeo.
Candy & Justin I - The St Patrick's Day Litter
Candy (UKC Grand Ch Timbreblue Talks to Strangers) was bred to Nancy Doucette's Justin (Ch Bohem Just in Time) and the pups were born March 16, 2007, just in time for St Patrick's Day. Shamrock is still our special Shamrock, Duffy is Nelson, Limerick is Zephyr, Smithwicks is Bogart, Guinness is Bailey, Clover is Jackie, Tara is Sydney, and Erin stayed here to become our Chippy, Timbreblue Goes With Sailors.
Candy & Justin II - The Candy Dish Litter
In October 2008, Candy and Justin produced another outstanding litter of eight. When you have a mama dog named Candy, you just have to have a candy theme, so these were Kiss (Sadie), KitKat (Lily), Godiva (another Lily), Skittles, Twix (Django), Wonka (Brodie), Razzle (Jace), and
